Dream it.
Jacksonville Campus Ministry is an ecumenical ministry that partners with 7 denominations to serve young adults in the Jacksonville area. One of its closest partners is Redeemer Episcopal Church. Over the last few years, we have become aware of the dire housing crisis on campus and are thankful to now be able to serve students by providing safe, affordable, and inclusive housing.
-
Build it.
We spent the summer of 2023 renovating the space, transforming it from four offices and two half bathrooms to seven bedrooms and two full, gender-neutral bathrooms, along with a full kitchen, common area, and laundry room. We are so thankful for the grants and gifts that we received and the generous contractors who worked with us through that process.
-
Grow it.
Our residence has been full since we opened in the fall of 2023. We are happy to offer a waiting list in the event that a resident moves out. We are also looking for more congregations to help create affordable student housing.
On the corner of AC Skinner and Southside Blvd, only 10 minutes from campus. There is a bus stop right next to the church.
Rent: starts at $565/month per room + utilities, which will be subsidized with a grant in 2024.
